LEARNING STARTS EARLY

Creating a partnership with the community, UNITED DIALYSIS FOUNDATION INC is able to offer more than basic learning and care services for toddlers and children.

The United Dialysis Foundation Inc. programs uses Curriculum to “empower young people by providing local athletic facilities and schools with a life skills program that promotes positive values, healthy habits, and education – United Dialysis Foundation Inc. programs volunteers will have an active role in the homework area, working individually with the students using current homework assignments. In the computer lab they help the students improve their keyboarding skills and show them how to use the computer for research. They read aloud with the students and give quizzes on tapes and videos to improve comprehension.

After School Programs

The after school program – serves local children in each of the fall and spring sessions. It includes homework assistance two hours/week and tennis instruction, health and life skills education three hours/week.We know the difficulties of balancing life, work, and children. UNITED DIALYSIS FOUNDATION INC provides supervised  after school programs, we will happily work with you regarding your schedule and pick up or drop off times.

The skills acquired through project-based learning programs will support and build on what students are learning throughout the school year. Students will work in small groups to accomplish the goals of the projects. Project-based learning programs should maintain a student to instructor/volunteer ratio of 1:12.

Project-based learning programs can fall into but is not limited to the following categories:
• Performing and Fine Arts
• Math, Science and Technology
• Digital Media
• Sports Management
• Literacy and Communication
• Career Exploration
